by Harold Pinter
Directed by Richard Baird
2005 Nobel Prize for Literature, Harold Pinter's modern classic.
In The Birthday Party, two sinister strangers appear at a sea-side boarding house. In this boarding house is a man who may or may not be a pianist. It may or may not be his birthday. But there is going to be a party. This play remains shocking, menacing, relevant… and incredibly funny.
This play hasn't had a professional run in San Diego since Craig Noel directed it in 1967 at the Old Globe. And this time, it's being directed by Craig Noel award-winning director, Richard Baird.
August 13-30 at the MOXIE theatre
