Harold Pinter’s friend and long time work associate, Harry Burton, filmed a one-day actors’ workshop with Pinter called, “Working with Pinter”.
New Fortune is proud to announce that Mr. Burton will be screening his film and giving a talk with Artistic Director, Richard Baird, on Sunday, August 16th at 7PM; A very special event in their run of Pinter’s, THE BIRTHDAY PARTY.

HARRY BURTON trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama (1982-85), and with BBC Training & Development as a director. Career Highlights:
ACTING: Leading West End roles in Shakespeare, Coward, Shaw, Anouilh & Pinter; also Sky Masterson in Guys And Dolls (The Crucible, Sheffield); Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady (Theatre Royal Drury Lane); Papageno in The Magic Flute (Donmar Warehouse and Hamburg); Figaro in The Marriage Of Figaro at the Vienna Festival and for BBC TV/Sony.

DIRECTING: Harold Pinter's The Lover (Bridewell Theatre) & The Dumb Waiter (West End); Quartermaine's Terms by Simon Gray (tour); I Found My Horn by Jasper Rees and Jonathan Guy Lewis (Hampstead Theatre and Playwrights Horizons in New York); Where I Come From by Eric Daniels (first ever African-American play to be staged at the Kentucky Repertory Theater); The Leisure Society by Francois Archambault (Trafalgar Studios), and has just finished directing Ashes to Ashes with Dame Harriet Walter for BBC Radio.
