"Like poetry, salons should be of use and of delight;
instructive to one's mind and charming to one's life!"
(The philosophy of artistic salons of 17th c. France.)
The Pom Salon calls upon The Evergreen Spirit of The Artist's Salon.
Our new works are the topics. We cultivate "the real work" work here.
Our artists are world-class. We engage artists across mediums so we can cross-pollinate our processes and ideas.
Our eclectic events welcome the public and special guests to engage with our new works and artists.
We don't want to be politely observed, we want to roll up our sleeves and be challenged.
Our mission is, like a pom tree full of poms, and each pom packed full of seeds, and each seed growing a tree, our mission is manifesting works of art within and without our salon for all to enjoy in gorgeous, fun, profound, and new and unexpected ways.
There are always rules and trends but at The Pom Salon we make them.

Set in the historical Granada Building,
The Pom Salon joins a lineage of creators and visionaries like George Hurrell and Gregory Ain who defined the vanguard of L.A. culture.
You'll find THE POM SALON in Granada's STUDIO 34, aka PERSEPHONE'S.
Did you know? Granada means "pomegranate" aka "the apple of the underworld."
Eating the seeds of a pom got Persephone her part time job as Queen of Hades, and that's why we have seasons now.

The Pom Salon Founders Say:
Susan Ricketts: Documentary Filmmaker of, Director of, Owner of Studio 34, Producer of... (style?)
"What we're doing here isn't so different. What's different is the fact that we're doing it. We get to do the work here."
Amanda Jane (A.J.) Schaar: Playwright of, Actress known for, Producer of (etc?)...
"Susan's right. The most fun part is doing the work. Figuring things out. Making it really great. This is the place for that."
Eric Bernhard: Credits, credits, all very cool, yes
"And we want the public to come play here as well. You can be a part of making the art that's made here." (you guys all say this how you want to... it's just an idea)
Richard Baird: Credits, credits, muy impresionante
"Theatre's a collaborative artform. It brings all the arts together. It's made for and with a present audience. Always. WE make theatre."
